TH’s Grub Fly

Pricing of $9.95 is for a pack of 6 grub flies. The grub fly, also known as the mop fly, is an excellent imitation of the crane fly larva. The extended body wiggles and flutters in the river current, often enticing strikes.

The pale yellow material comes from a miniature car duster. It absorbs water very well, giving this fly a neutral buoyancy. Trout Haven’s grub fly is tied with spun hare’s ear dubbing, and a small brass bead head to add the slightest bit of weight to this fly.
